Hi Everyone,

Was thinking about TRT. Not bodybuilding TRT. However, this brings in another topic.....Topical Finasteride. Now if one applies Topical finasteride, serum Test will rise, so will estrogen. This indirectly will probably make someone jump on an anti estrogen regiment as well.

This is where it gets a little tricky. You will uptick Testosterone, down tick DHT, but try to downtick estrogen.

1.) So my question is, do you think someone would build muscle and grow hair under such a regiment.
2.) Has anyone on here done this?
3.) I am trying to imagine what the outcomes would look like, chemically trying to regulate everything.

- I am a diffuse thinner, prob Norwood 2.5 ish. Imagine the guy who plays Captain America, with diffusion.

I know Derek from More Plates More Dates does crazy regiments, but also he is on gear for his whole adult life, if even you believe half his stories ( Tren, Deca, Test, Sarms, peptides, etc etc ).

Jesus, you have it all wrong.
First, Testosterone is not important, what it is important is FREE Testosterone .
Secondly, is not just the problem that your Estrogen goes up, the problem is that DHT is an anti estrogen, compete with it. That is the reason why PROGESTERONE, a natural 5-alpha reductase and aromatase inhibitor exist and that Finasteride fucked it too. You are not inhibiting just DHT, you are inhibiting a whole of other hormones, like allopregnolone, progesterone, etc .
Dereck own a TRT clinic . Lets see what will happen when he wanted to have kids , how fertile he really it is . And believe me, sooner or later, for 99 % of males , that is really important .
PLus, even Dereck tell that using anti aromatase is not a good idea. Again, there is not one enzyme and one reaction in the body, so one you inhibit one enzyme, you mess with tons of other reactions in where that enzyme is part of it . Muscle tear, tendon tear is a extremly common side effects of anti aromatase and it have nothing to do with just lower the estrogens .

In resumen , The more T you will have with finasteride is nothing you will get sides and you can't use a anti aromatase forever without health problems.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes naturally no one should be on an A.I long term. However, if one is on TRT, and on Topical finasteride, wouldn't there be cause for concern on estrogen?

As MPMD, it's hard to access him. Gear usage + finasteride + other stuff. IDK how he keeps his estrogen in check, assuming you're taking him at face value.

If you are on TRT, and your estrogen are high , most time is fixed with more frequent injection . Every other day or even every day . And of course, find the total right dose per week. Without bloodwork, it is imposible .
About topical finasteride you need to use a low dose , 0.1% or even 0.025 % . Again, you need to do bloodwork to see what is working or not .
Also, remember that tretinoin plus minoxidil is an excelent addon or even alternative treatment to finastide. And get some Ketoconazole 2 % shampoo, leaving in your hair for 20 minutes before wash it .

I’ve done this, here’s the best case scenario you should aim for

Test at a dose where you don’t need AI or anti estrogens (have them on hand just in case)
Topical finasteride at lowest possible dose where it is still effective. For me it’s around 0.05mg/ml

it’s still pretty hard to manage though so if you’re gonna do it make sure it’s becuase your test is low.
