Toppik and swimming

I use toppik like this normally:
-sammy fat thickening creme
-toppik fibers
-sammy fat hair spray(light coat-let dry)
-apply additional fibers
-sammy fat hair spray thick coat.

Had to go to water park with wave pools, slides and splashing all over the place. A hair concealers nightmare.

What I did was my normal routine then took some of my daughters super hold hair glue gel and applied 3 thin layers over all my hair.

Went to water park for 10 hours and did everything. the only time i noticed any fibers was when I touch the hair itself. As long as you dont touch your hair, it will stay in place. Once you start rubbing it will come undone.

even after I got home, I got in shower and put my head under the shower head for 3 minutes nothing came off, the shell was in place. As soon as I started rubbing it, and compromising the outer shell, the brown stream of water soaked fibers started.

Ah swimming and concealers - this is a predicament bantered about all too frequently on these boards.

Dermmatch claims to be water proof, so that ultimately is the best one. With my type of hairloss, it'd be difficult not to notice a concealer.

What I would do is either sport a bandana (which I do sometimes) or forgo swimming all together. This is difficult because my dad has a cottage and it's hard not to jump in the lake from time to time.

I'd rather have a nice "full" head of hair than go swimming anyways.

Dermach is brilliant for water parks. I used it when I went to Florida last year and worked wonders as long as you dont over do it since it could end up running down your forehead which would not be good!

Don't get the Dermmatch thing, doesn't it shine on your scalp, It just looks like painted head

This is true, it does - depending on your level of hair loss. I've been using Dermmatch and Toppik as a one-two punch and it's been perfect. I apply my dermmatch, brush it through, then apply a bit of Toppik to eliminate the shine spot.

Works like a charm :)
