Toppik

a few questions about toppik, I just got it in the mail and put it on, and it seemed to good to be true. Even directly under the light it looked natural.
But when I showered and got it wet (before I shampooed it out), I rechecked it in the mirror and it looked bad.
Will the fiber hold hairspray help keep the toppik hair looking good when wet, or is this just one of the down sides? I havent even sweated yet with toppik in, so we'll see how that goes.
I was definately disappointed with how it was wet, but hopefully once I get the hairspray it will do the job, if not atleast itll keep it good when dry.

Yeah, even before I began using it I never believed their claims that Toppik wouldn't come off unless you shampoo . I just assumed that if the fibers get wet, they're history. I'm very impressed with the stuff and will continue using it, but it even comes off at night when I sleep. No, I don't see it on my pillowcase, but when I look in the mirror in the morning, I can see that it has come off. I could use a stronger hairpsray like Freeze It, but the lady who cuts my hair said that it's terrible for your scalp and could even keep new hairs from growing back if you're using minoxidil. I just use a light hairspray and try to accept that although Toppik is a very good product, like most others it doesn't work quite as well as advertised. What ever does, though?

Sadly Toppik isn't waterproof, there are reports of the dye running and it coming off even with light sweat, I'm not sure as I haven't used it, but I use Nanogen which is similar and have never had either of these problems. But yes, it comes off with water, in the shower or swimming, and no hairspray on earth will stop it, but at least it means it goes out of your hair easily.

I wouldn't bother with Haircubed, they claim its waterproof, and it doens;'t come off in water, true, but after being wet the finish is really wierd and doesn't look right. It also doesn't look as good as Toppik or Nanogen, when I use dit I could tell I had sprayed something all over.

I hear good things about nanogen. It only comes in a 12.5 gram container though, right? I doubt that will last me a month. I'd have to order several bottles at once, which wouldn't be that much of a problem, I guess. What about megathick? Is it any good?

Not too much of anything is really going to work well when your hair is soaking wet, other then a transplant unfortunately. I think dermmatch is fairly solid, but can't comment on the other newer stuff as I've been out of the loop for a while.
