Transitioning From finasteride To dutasteride: How Quickly Should You Dump finasteride?

Hi guys

So I've been taking Avodart name brand for the past few weeks.

0.5 mg dutasteride, every other day for 2 weeks. Then the last week and a half, every day.

I've been taking Propecia name brand every day as usual.

Is it safe to just go dutasteride every day and drop finasteride completely at this point?

I'm kind of worried about losing whatever steady-state I'm in currently from my finasteride usage, while I transition to dutasteride.

I don't believe I've responded to Propecia. Continued to lose ground.

Background info:

34 yr old

4 years on name brand Propecia

Norwood 2

Family history:

Father is 66 yr old, Norwood 6
Maternal grandfather was a Norwood 2 with diffuse loss up top
Paternal grandfather unknown loss (passed away young)
Paternal uncle is a Norwood 3 (3 yrs older than my father)

Just ditch the finasteride, it doesn't take that long for dutasteride to reduce dht serum levels by 70% or so similar to finasteride. You could mega dose to reach peak dutasteride levels but i wouldn't bother, just take dutasteride everyday and you will be fine.
