Hey y’all, I’m a senior in high school and have been experiencing significant shedding since this summer. Originally I thought it was due to accutane since it started almost exactly when I started my 2nd round at a higher dose, but I had a scalp biopsy that showed it was male pattern baldness. I’ve been on 0.5mg Dutasteride for 6 months now, and I’m almost through my 2nd month of minoxidil but unfortunately my shedding has not slowed. It’s absolutely killing me to shower and see my hair coated hands and see my bald spot growing, so I’ve been looking to do something more. I bought 5g of RU58841 from Chemyo and I tried to dissolve 3g in 60mL of Kirkland Minoxidil 5% but it won’t dissolve at all. Does anyone have advice on how I can get it to dissolve? That powder is expensive so if it’s possible to just add a little ethanol that would be preferable as opposed to starting anew.

I’ve been looking to start Dermarolling, but I don’t really need regrowth at this point. I really just want my shedding to stop. Does a Dermaroller do anything for me if I still have a lot of hair? Any advice on what to use (pen/stamp/roller, how many pins, length of pin) would be thoroughly appreciated I’m very confused by all the options.
