Hey everybody. I've been dealing with hairloss for about 10 months, since February of 2018. I remember it all started one day when I felt pain in my left temple. At first I just brushed it off as nothing.. But then I decided to touch where the pain was and I instantly noticed there was no hair there where there usually is. I freaked out and checked in the mirror.. To my horror a big chuck of my hairline was missing in both temples. After about 6 months of no regrowth. I looked into some options. At first I started with minoxidil but I never did keep up on it. I only used it for a month.. Then I started on finasteride hoping I could at least stop any further hair lose and maybe gain some of it back. I started for a month, due to leaving the country for a few weeks I stopped taking it. I returned to taking it 3 months later and have been on it for a solid month now. It was probably a mistake to stop and start again as I've heard it can have adverse effects.i also take nizoral 1% twice a week as well as vitamen supplements such as multi vitimans.. Plenty of vitamen A, biotin, saw palmetto, vitaman D3000, fish oil high in dpa. So at this point, it's been almost 11 months months and not one day has gone my without scalp pain. It is now all over my head. While there are no areas completely bald except my temple area, I've notice in the last 3 months my whole head of hair is thinner. I can now see areas of my scalp I don't ever remember being able to see before. And my middle hairline is slowly receding too.
Now I've gone over many possibilities. My first is androgenetic alopecia which seems right because my temples were the first to go. But finasteride doesn't seem to have any affect so far and im definitely still losing hair, especially in my middle hairline. Then I also thought maybe telogen effluvium, as when this started I was going thru a breakup, and a mere 6 weeks before the breakup, I specifically remember parting my hair and my hairline was 100% intact with absolutely no missing hair. The trauma and stress from the broken relationship ended about 2 months ago and I'm not stressed over it at all anymore. Another possibility was that my diet was unhealthy and I got very little nutrients probably resulting in very little collagen production. However it's been a month and I'm making sure I get all the vitamins I need, especially plenty of vitamin A, about 4500iu in multivitamin from not including the vegetables I eat regularly now. I don't know how well that's helping but I'm still losing hair in the front middle hairline easily. It could also be bacteria as I remember a week before the s alp pain, I showered and I was in a rush and I for whatever reason decided it would be ok to dry my hair with a dirty smelling towel. But like I said I've been using nizoral 1 % and now just started using apple cider vinegar in my hair to kill any possible bacteria. And the last possibility I can think of is seborrheic dermatitis. As I've noticed where my hairloss starts and all over my head it is a slightly whiter tint, and when I scratch it, it flakes off. And I've had problems with seeming dandruff during this past few Months. BUT THE BIGGEST TTHING TO NOTE IS THE CONSTANT SCALP PAIN ALL OVER MY HEAD, EVEN SLIGHTLY ON THE BACK AND SIDES. So I'm not an expert like most of you guys, but I'm not ready to lose my hair as I'm only 27. If you guys have any ideas or solutions. Please tell me
