Who decides what is extreme?

Your own worldview, no matter what it is, probably looked extreme 100 years ago, and will look extreme 100 years from now. Also, when you look at history, a minority of people who are accused of extremism at the time later are vindicated.

In other words, being a "decent, sensible, sane, moderate person" is just another way of being an extremist.

I also think that it's child's play to point to large flaws in existing fashionable ideologies.

Saying everything is relative as an excuse to hand wave away any criticism. Nice.

Truth and untruth are in principle absolutes and concrete things, if you believe in an objective reality. 'Extreme opinions' are based entirely on a man-made spectrum, that changes every few years.
