Using Propecia

Hi all,

I have been using Propecia for about 7 months, with awful results :( (esp in the hairline)

Anyway, I was just wondering....I know I am the exception but I figure there are others out there, that have not had success with Propecia...

So...

(1) Anyone out there find Propecia made things worse?
(2) If so,are you still using Propecia?
(3) How long did (do) you use Propecia?
(4) If you stopped, what happened to your hair after stopping
(5) What else is in your regimen?

I am considering stopping Propecia but beforehand, I would like to hear other people's experiences..

Thanks

Use it for at least 1 year before passing judgement on it. You might be shedding.

You actually have to look for negative posts about Propecia? This forum is full of them primarily because only those with no results continue posting. The other 83% are off living life. Honestly, you shouldn't need to search for more negativity about the most clinically proven product on the market. It does a disservice to those trying to decide what treatment to use, to rehash this topic yet again, because all it does is scare them. Please search the forums and you'll find folks you can Private Message who haven't had results.

And the others are right. Merck plainly states that it can take up to 12 full months before results are seen.

I agree with you HairLossTalk.com I want and need to try Propecia, my hormone level is way to high I can feel it everyday. I am scared to take it because of the posts here, 70% of them are negative on it, which is scary and makes me think I don't have a chance with it. I know it will help me though.

I am going to try it but the negative posts sure bring out the anxiety. My dick is my best friend.

My daughter is 4....when she was 2 she lost about 80% of her hair to Alopeica Areata....my wife and I were devastated to say the least. I got on the internet to investigate her condition....something that I also realized is 95% of the time you only see the worse cases on the internet. Like HairLossTalk.com said the others have no need to post about their success...so you only see the ones having problems and looking for answers. My daughter regrew all of her hair and it is now down to the middle of her back......there is no sign of it and hasn't been since that episode. I have not been back to those Alopecia sites since to share my good news......thinking about it now, it probably would be a good idea.

Thanks for the feedback.

I am not trying to scare people off Propecia, that is why I wrote that I realize I am the exception...there will always be exceptions when taking medication. Unfortunately for me, I am the exception in this case. I was just trying to find someone who could share a similiar experience, so I could see what they went through and how they dealt with it, that's all.

it is always wise to investigate all possible side effects a drug may give you. Regardless of how rare they are

Are you sure propecia made things worst? I have read that here before. Though that could be the case, are you sure you just didnt read it here before too? Then get paranoid?

Right on man. I would like to have that graph scanned in that shows the time it takes for the drug to become effective so I can refer to it on a daily basis.

I have no results as of yet from propecia. It's only been a few months so I'm not going to give up.If I do get good results, which I feel like I won't,but if I do,I'll make sure to keep giving great positive feedback. I have on thought about Propecia and maybe everyone thinks this already.
The longer you wait to start treatment, the longer it takes to see results.
Just a thought......
