Vaccinations?

Search results showed nothing.

I've been reading about how babies may be able to get vaccinations to prevent them from losing hair later on in their lives. I think this treatment's coming out soon.

While this doesn't cure people who are already born, it may eliminate the bs in future people's lives, that is, those who are fortunate enough to get it (if they will have male pattern baldness later on in their lives).

Link?
By the way, "babies" are already born.
In addition to that, this would mean that someone already completely understands what causes baldness. Who would that be? Before anyone is going to put a shot in their kid to prevent something that might theoretically happen in 18+ years, they're going to want to be sure it's safe. FDA tests? Clinicaltrials.gov?
In short, I don't believe a word of that.

Vaccinations are NOT gene therapy. Vaccinations introduce immunity against pathogens, you can't update your hair genes with vaccinations.

There's a lot of this stuff floating around lately, probably becuase of stem-cell and genetic research. The possibilities are endless. They say there could be vaccinations to prevent diseases of all kinds. Don't forget the ability for parents to pick and choose the genetic makeup of their children in the future, now that the genetic code has been cracked.
Nicely put.

By babies I meant those that are not born yet and/or are. By already born I meant those whos hair loss already started. Kind of crazy I know. I need to be more specific on the internet. :p

Indeed they won't be vaccinations. I think that's the reason for the ? in the title.

Also would mean women would not select against bald men on the basis of not wanting their babies to be bald.

Lol after the third try I finally got what you were saying. :p

The thing you got to remember though is those same women may have male pattern baldness in their family! And if it's true baldness mostly has to do with the mother genes, it's truly f***ed up when you think about it.

Seriously, I don't know where the F*CK someone came up with the theory it comes only or mostly from the mother's side. At first, it made sense to believe it, because you would think you are mostly your mother, not your father. Your father just "fertalized" you and you're made from your mom.

But alas, it's all bs.

Funny , there was something on the news here in Ireland about this yesterday saying how it is possible to choose the eye colour etc. of your baby. While it sounded crazy to the rest of my family I was actually quite happy to hear that. The last thing I want is my son going through male pattern baldness at 17 like I did. There would only be a few things I'd change. I know that I would thank my dad for doing it to me if he could.

If this were proven safe and effective in the future, I'd never allow my son to have to go through the personal hell of male pattern baldness.

Personally I wouldn't have a child at all. Life's full of bs in general, IMO.

The theory came from the realization that baldness is mostly an x-gene trait, and you get the x gene from your mother.
