Visible Veins Under The Skin From Minoxidil

So one of the things I noticed while on minoxidil were these veins I was seeing around my entire body that almost certainly weren't there (noticeable) before. I noticed a new vein on my temple, on my chest and under my arm. Without a doubt they were not there before minoxidil.

I've been off minoxidil since the 26th of November after 12 days use (stopped due to chest tightness, cleared up in 3-4 days) but in general I now have light green veins under the skin that were either not there or much less visible before.

Does anyone have an experience like this? It makes sense as minoxidil dilates the blood vessels, and also (maybe) reduces collagen of the skin.

Edit: Deleted some stuff.

why would collagen reduction make your veins more visible? You guys are grasping at straws.

Not unreasonable at all to think that reduced collagen makes veins under the skin more visible. Collagen makes skin healthy and look younger. Visible veins is pretty much the opposite of that.

Anyway that's besides the point. Not sure why you say "you guys" like this is a normal thing. Never seen anyone report this issue before. The fact of the matter is my veins were, and still are more visible.

Not grasping at straws in the slightest considering minoxidil directly affects your blood vessels and I just so happen to see a visible change in my blood vessels.

Oh sorry. I replied in ignorance. I forgot, minoxidil can cause angiogenesis (the development of new blood vessels), which is probably what you are seeing though. So yeah, that is a rare side effect. But it has nothing to do with collagen loss. In your case the treatment is creating new blood vessels.
