Hi, I'm 25. Baldness in my family goes along my mother’s line. Grandfather at 23-24 shone like a bowling ball, uncle bald after 30.
My baldness began at the age of 18-19.
I have been using only minoxidil 5% for about 10 months now, there is growth, but active loss continues.
I think about using finasteride but I'm afraid of side effects.
1.What can you advise to get rid of fear,and what tests to take before starting?
2.which dermaroller to choose. 0.5mm / 1mm / 1.5mm ?
3.what norwood i have ?
4.what are my chances of regrowing from the finasteride ?

I started early 20's We have different issues. My was receding. I took it for 20+ years (still do, recently added dutasteride to program). Never had sides. never shed from finasteride (i did from dutasteride). i would give it a try. 1mg daily. the fact that i am in my 40s with hair is still shocking. Thats all because of finasteride.

You have aggressive balding. If you really are afraid of oral finasteride then go topical mixed with your minoxidil. Your Norwood level looks like its heading for a NW6. You are going to be a tough case to reverse but it's definitely worth a try.
