Washing hair 3-4 hours after application?

Is it OK to apply minoxidil then wash your hair 3-4 hours later? This would mean being able to spend the day with clean minoxidil free hair, will it already have done it's job after that time or does it need to be on all day?

yeah i think most people do that. the spectral dnc bottle says three hours
which is good enough for me. i think the theory being that the liquid has
penetrated down to such a deep layer of skin by that time that you cant wash it off with water.

i think it should be ok just dot rub the scalp too hard

Thanks guys, not sure if I'll do it regularly until I know for sure, it shouldn't matter how thoroughly I wash my scalp if it's totally done its job after 3-4 hours should it?
The smell of Rogaine foam still makes me tingle down below but it fucks my hairstyle up a bit when it's in constantly.
