Wearing a HAT or HAIR GEL

Hello everyone,
My question is, after applying minoxidil, I sometimes leave the house wearing a hat or if i'm not wearing a hat, sometimes ill put on hair gel? Will this just defeat the purpose of using minoxidil? Will the minoxidil still penetrate the follicles and work even if someone wears a hat or possible use gel afterwards? Thank you very much.

Hey Phil!

Consider your hair to have two levels:

1) The world at the base of the hair, where the skin is
2) The world at the tip of the hair, to the base

Unless you're smearing the gel onto your skin, it wont even really mix with the Rogaine. If you apply the Rogaine at least 30 mins prior to applying the gel, you might even be able to mix the two together and not affect absorption. The key is the 30 mins after application.

Do you do a hat AND gel? If not, you're fine!
