So back in December I decided to take a one month break from finasteride, to see if it was possibly causing lower libido. I went back on in January. I then ended up taking ANOTHER one month break in February, because I wasn’t sure. So basically I was off in December, on in January, off in February, and back on in March. I’ve been on it total for over two years, but the two total months I took off ended in March. Anyway, I never noticed a huge difference in libido when I was off and on tbh. BUT, what I have noticed is since I’ve been back on, finasteride doesn’t seem to work as well as it used to. I’m shedding hair and have lost ground. I’ve also noticed that since I’ve been back on my libido has been through the roof, and my skin is more blotchy and dry. Very confused. What do y’all make of this ?

Like should I go off for a month again, and hop back on hoping it gives me the original effects? It’s literally been like a placebo pill since I’ve gone back on, where it originally benefited my hair a lot.

I have to because my test levels can get nuked at times (not sure why my body just stops and starts like that) but my consistent minoxidil use basically mitigates any re-start shed if I can't use it for a week or so.

Remember that finasteride will aggregate in your tissues, so if it's applied to the scalp it will aggregate there and you will need less for finasteride to do its job.
