I clearly didn't do enough research and went ahead and did a 2000 graft FUT on the mid crown region (pics shown pre op-donor area is reportedly strong). I even did it with longish hair. Dammit. Didn't find this forum until after the fact. It's been a week and I'm shedding original hairs like mad, which I assume means the original hairs are shocking and aren't likely to return?
What are my options now? Assuming the worst and it all goes and what ends up growing back is terrible, can I get another transplant down the line to fill in the bs that grows in to thicken it up, or will I be running into the same problem?
Is there ANYONE here who managed to survive a hair transplant with diffuse thinning? Just to quench my sense of hope?
