Hey guys,

I'd like your opinion on something.

Im hopping back on finasteride after a year of not using it and using dutasteride instead. Now Im gonna use both, but not a full milligram of finasteride and then a regular dose of dutasteride (0.5mg) daily. What is smart, I wanna prevent another big shedding and I don't want extra miniaturization. Keep using dutasteride everyday for like the first week of using both, week 2 using dutasteride 5 times, then week 3 I take 3 tablets? Or is that too quick of a drop.

I'm definitely going for 1mg of finasteride because that has helped me greatly in the past.

All input is welcome :)

No input unfortunately, but why the switch? Do you think finasteride works better for you than dutasteride?

I maintained on finasteride for almost a decade, then I noticed some recession in the front. Kept an eye on it (this was in Oct 2016) and in jun or july 2017 I made the switch to dutasteride thinking it was the Final Answer. But so far it wasn't and the more I keep reading the more I see things posted where people say dutasteride doesn't work better for everyone. Then I saw people combining the two with good results. So now I want the same successful regime with finasteride but with a little, or hopefully a big boost from dutasteride a couple times a week. Because I think it IS doing something, otherwise I would have lost way more hair by now. It still looks pretty full, maybe in the back even fuller then it did before. Lets just pray for some regrowth right now and not more miniaturization.

So with dutasteride I started with a big shed because of the switch, after that my hairline kept receiding and now it seems to be going faster a times goes by....but maybe my scalp just cant handle the minoxidil and its just extra itchy because of that.

you didn't experiment side with dutasteride ?

No just a little time for my body to get used to it...but maybe that was all in my head and there were no sides at all. But if there were, they went away.

I don't really get morning wood anymore since Ive been on finasteride, but that's kind of a nice bonus to me because I used to hate not being able to pee in the morning because of some random fricking boner I didn't ask for

12 Days have went by, the itch I have has reduced significantly already...good sign I think! Not a lot more to tell...let's just hope for the best.
