What actually is 'gyno' and why is it bad?

There are all these posts talking about how people taking finasteride contract gyno and resultingly have to stop taking it. I know that one of the symptoms of gyno is 'man breasts' but this is about all i know. What does gyno mean for someone besides this one side effect? If you have gyno, whether you are aware of it or not, is it very detrimental to continue to take finasteride?

Thanks for the help

"gyno" is what you mentioned. The accumulation of fat around the breast area that gives the fem breast it's characteristic shape. Isn't that enough to get you in trouble?

Obviously the 'man breasts' is an unwanted side effect, i was just wondering if there were any other more serious effects, internally perhaps, that result from this or are the cause of it

other reported sides are testicular pain, watery semen, lesser semen, impotence, "mind fog"(dht plays arole in some brain functions), acne and oily skin (from hyperandrogenecity).

In many of the ones reporting sides, they go away with time as the body adjusts.
