Just curious if any of y’all have had good luck, to me it seems like it would be less effective than topical. On the head at least

I’m new to this forum so im trying to figure out how to find your post. I’m on 2.5 mg ED. How long was it until you saw results ?
I did 5mg for a few months then i jumped to 10mg. Saw insane regrowth at month 6-8 and then went back down to 5mg. If you click on my profile then go to posts, you'll see a post with the word werewolf in the title. I literally became a werewolf.

Dang I’m only on 2.5 though. I hope to god it has an effect on me. I’ve been on finasteride for a year and I’ll be on it it for life as a diffuse thinner. I know oral min is pretty powerful stuff but I’m hoping to see results soon. Coming up on 3 months in 2 weeks

Mhh interesting. I want to switch from 5 to 2.5 mg at some point. I hope I maintaing my results.
Maybe apply slight amounts of topical with 2.5mg. Honestly though idk if my results are ideal. I became so damn hairy

I wish I was hairy too.... I haven't recovered the density on my left temple nor on my sides and sideburns ( I suspect I have retrograde alopecia too).
I definitely recommend oral minoxidil and putting a little bit of topical on the retrograde

To be honest, I don't think I will ever recover the retrograde zone because it has been like that since I was 15 or 16 (I'm 22 now). Those follicles are most likely dead, cause they didn't respond to topical when I used it for 6 month nor to 2.5 mg oral minoxidil for another 6 months. I'm just praying to recover density of my left temple which has been affected from alopecia for like 1.5 years after I decided to start treatment(still maintain the hairline but low density). My right temple had completely recovered so I'm expecting the same for the left side.
Honestly if retrograde gets really bad, SMP may be the only thing to make it look better.

That sh*t works. Just gave me random heart burns at times. I took the thailand minoxidil 10 and had it cut down to 2.5 mg a day. I had same results as the topical pretty much, minus the hassle and work. It's convenient but eventually I switched back to topical. I'm not liking the random heart burns coz it increases your rate and blood flow. It's not really painful but it is kinda bothering specially when you're trying to sleep or take a nap.

That's probably the recommended dosage for XY's who want regrowth but who also do not want increased peripheral hair regrowth. I am down from 25mg from split morning/evening doses via slow downward titration to now ~3mg once only in the morning to avoid the "alien eyes" effects but this is a guesstimate since I "drink" topical which appears entirely safe unless you put it in the cat's water dish and the effects seem to be all but identical to Loniten which is hard to get, much more expensive and you have to swallow pills with lots of chalky filler apparently.

I'm an intensely diffuse thinner who's 2.5 months into 5 mg oral minoxidil (I drink droplets of kirkland)

I have noticed

- a definite improvement in these 10 weeks and so it is definitely stronger (for me) than topical (which I continue to use)
- none of that BS about skin aging and under-eye circles or bags
- hypertrichosis in the form of: back of neck, forearms & back of hands hairier and vellus hairs on forehead
- more of a "feeling" of my heart beating (I'm not talking about palpitations - just "hearing" the beat more)

The fact that loniten wasn't marketed immediately in the 80s or 90s is baffling considering how awful topical minoxidil is as a practical product leading to its non-existent long term compliance among normies

My question would this be bad long term for the liver?

The "Alien Eyes" effect as Janey calls it appears to be legit and I looked so bizarre upon waking and then for several hours that the situation was untenable. At ~5mg this is likely to be less true particularly in a T-driven environment and for many XY's beard and body hair increases are welcome or at least considered masculinizing. Females often use .25mg! daily often concomitantly with spironolactone, which appears to lack sides for XX's all but entirely but not for Janey. spironolactone is debilitating for many MtF's and is the most frequent complaint of MtF's aside from "where's my boobs, it's been ten days since I started on estrogen. What a gyp!"
