Lately i have been losing small short unpigmented hairs from all over my head. I have been on finasteride for about 7 months. Do these short white hairs have any explanation? Please use your uncanny hairloss knowledge to deliver some comfort into my aching brain.

Maybe it means that the weaker hairs are being shed in favor of stronger hairs? Sorry, thats as much as my uncanny knowledge can contribute.

Those are miniaturized hairs. Hairs that are being affected by DHT and have, through several growth and resting cycles, grown in less pigmented and less long. They're either falling out because minoxidil just does that. Hairs will fall when minoxidil gets to them, so they can restart their development cycle. Or .. they're falling out as part of the natural process of growth and resting. Whether they grow in thicker and healthier than before is entirely based upon whether you're on an effective DHT inhibiting treatment.
