Hey guys
I'm in a country where there is no any Finasteride 1mg
I tried splitting proscar but I think that the Proscar here is fake and it didn't work (used it for 8 months)
Anyway, there are other Finasteride 5mg drugs
So shall I try Finasteride 5mg?
Will it make my hair worse?
Thanks

theres no real difference between 1 and 5 mg , and no why would it make your hair worse ?
also how is a brand name drug fake ?

There is a difference, but its marginal at best. In some cases finasteride can make things worse, and in others it simply does not work. Maybe OP is simply calling his finasteride 'proscar'? I've seen people on here using generic finasteride and calling it 'propecia' lol.
To OP what brand of finasteride are you using? Also if you feel you are not seeing results perhaps dutasteride could help you?

I was using "proscar" but I think that it was fake
Now I found another one called prostat 5mg finasteride looks the same as proscar ( tried it today)
And Yea there's avodart( Dutasteried ) but I'm just worried about using it..

If the manufacturer is MSD ( MerckSharp&Dohme ) then its legit. When you say it didn't work do you mean you didn't regrow any hair? finasteride isn't necessarily meant to regrow hair, stopping further loss is the main point of it.

1. I got no side effects
2. My hair started receeding after 8 months of using it , it has been receeding for 2 months without stopping ..

Most people don't get side effects from finasteride. It didn't work for me either though, but there are other options besides dutasteride I'd you ever get desperate enough.

What are the other options?
I heard that minoxidil works for like 1 year only

There really aren’t for anyone who
A: doesn’t want to be female
B: values their long term health

Who knows what cyproterone will do to you in 10-15 years. Duta atleast has some evidence of being safe in the long term (even there I would be hesitant)
I'm just worried of trying Dutasteride because it may develop gyno.. The only reason actually
+ I read that it might make your hair worse

RU58841, spironolactone, Flutamide, Cyproterone, Darolutamide, ect. For some minoxidil doesn't work for long, it only worked 4 months for me! Others seem to be able to use it for 5+ years with good results.

A. Using anti androgens doesn't make you a female, that's a ridiculous and ignorant assumption.
B. It is true that for most Anti Androgens long term safety is unknown, but this can be mostly avoided by using topicals that limit systematic absorption like RU and topical Darolutamide. I'm not telling him to take these drugs, I'm just saying that if hair loss bothers you enough and conventional treatments are not working then you do have other options.

Ya both those would worry me to... but if you are losing ground post one year of finasteride there really isn’t much else unless you want to go down the experimental or hard core antiandrogen route...

Personally I’m drawing the line at duta. If I lose hair on that well then I’ll be a nw7. If breezula comes out I’ll try that. Nothing seems worth it from a health standpoint... who knows what cardiovascular or can consequences those other things carry...
Thanks alot, goodluck

Oral spironolactone (200 mg ED) definitely lowers your T levels and can cause side effects in some of us, I think 13 % (or maybe lower or higher) will be affected, by gynaecomastia for example. But it has never been scientifically proven that only oral spironolactone (200 mg ED) will make your T levels reach the ones of females. When most transgenders go for a HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) during their transition, they use estrogen, estradiol, or even medroxyprogesterone to REALLY reach testosteron levels of an average female, or even lower than average.

Sorry if I'm being off-topic, but I'm just getting sick of some ignorant assumptions regarding certain drugs. I have great knowledge regarding this subject, thanks to a clinical trial study and an old user named Bryan (unfortunately he's no longer with us).

For references, the thread with Bryan's great knowledge: https://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/threads/anyone-see-results-with-spironolactone.39951/

There is so much BS in this thread. OP please do not trust the posters here and stop making posts about your Finasteride that you 'think' is fake unless you get it evaluated as being so. Just take the drug consistently for a year. Read valid studies on the drug and do not rely on Internet posters experiences.

Dont. Just do my regimin and you will get 100 percent of your hair back I promise. But you have to do it everyday.

Finasteride. No side effects at all.
Minoxidil morning and night. Plus .5 dermapen for absorbtion every morning.

I take Sawpalmetto(blocks dht), Pygeum(blocks dht), biotin. Coconut oil+cayenne pepper oil mixture every day or other day for 30 minutes or more.(cayenne blocks cannibinoids from marijuana use, which can cause hair loss. And it stimulates new hair growth).

I use an inversion table about 15 to 30 minutes a day spread out in like 5 minute increments.

I massage coconut oil with a brush on my scalp for around 10 minutes a day or other day. Brush or fingertips. Doesnt matter.
Also I do fingernail rubbing around 10 minutes a day throughout the day.(stimulates the hair follicles).
