hello everyone, my hair loss is a receding hairline and im a Norwood .5, i have been on propecia , 5% minoxidil, and nizoral for the last five months. Also i added topical spironolactone on the hairline 2 months ago: I use spironolactone on odd days at nite. The first 2 to 3 months i noticed alot of dark vellus hairs along my hairline and i maintained my hairline. Now, i guess the hairline looks the same if not better with some improvement but i dont see those vellus hairs anymore. I mean, when they were there, they were kinda on my forehead too. Can someone tell me whats going on?.At the end of sept, will mark my 6 months, and is it still too early?, will good things happen at the 12 month mark? And what happend to those vellus hairs, did they shed and now grown into terminal a hairs? Also, maybe ive been applying the spironolactone wrong? I apply minoxidil first and let it dry for a minute, then i apply the spironolactone...Or maybe the past two bottles of rogaine ive been using are expired and not as effective? What do you guys make of my situation?

It took ten months before I saw a difference on the hairline. I had basically given up on any improvement by that time, I was only continuing the treatment for my vertex loss and to maintain.

Then one day - pow. Hairline looked more "square." It's by no means perfect, but I certainly take it.

if you want to have a completely full head of hair, you need to have hair transplants

Just keep using the minoxidil 5% 2 x per day, and spironolactone 1-2 x per day and i'm sure your situation will improve well beyond the 12 month mark.

Kirkland is exactly the same stuff as rogaine (probably even made in the same factory), and much cheaper. costo.com sells it for $20 for 4 bottles.
