What does everyone do for the itching?

I've been on minoxidil for like 2 weeks now and it's really itching in the areas that I apply it. What does everyone do for this? I'm on Nizoral 1% which I use 2 times a week and I leave it in for about 2-3 minutes before I wash it out but it doesn't seem to be helping much at all. Am I suppose to leave it in longer or is that a bad thing for the scalp. Can I use Nizoral 2 times a week and use T-Gel 2 times a week and just something like Head and Shoulders the other 3 days out of the week? Or am I just stuck with the itchyness?

Copper Peptides and Nizoral have been helping for me. I've been using it for 10 days and itched on day 8.

What are Emu oils? Is this another topical solution to put on after the minoxidil or is it a shampoo?

Emu oil is an oil that one rubs on their skin for a variety of reasons, including (potentially) stimulating follicular regeneration. It's also built into shampoos and other skin care products.

You can read all about it here . . .

Well that shampoo has helped somewhat. It still itches from time to time, but I can pretty much keep myself from harming my scalp. I still need switch my minoxidil to the one Dr Lee sells, but I already bought a 3 month supply that I'm gonna use before I buy anything else.

Thanks for that update. I don't really have a problem w/ the itchies - but have wanted to try either an emu or biotin based shampoo for some time now. Nice to hear that it helped somewhat.

Well it may be just me, but I'm also using Fructise (sp?) a couple of times a week which surprisingly has helped a lot with the itching. I hardly ever itch now.

go w/ the gel. if you apply it during the daytime it's like any regular hair gel. When I use it I apply it before bed though.

i tried a number of stuffs from ACV with cayenne pepper, aloe vera, copper peptides, nizoral, alcohol, cold water etc.

in the end, extra virgin olive oil work pretty well for me. i got some emu oil too but it was expensive for me to use freely on my scalp so in the end, i use it on my face... haha...

in term of reducing inflammation and not including hair growth properties, thicken skin etc, olive oil work almost as good as emu oil and it way cheaper... check up the study below which show how well a number of oil work for inflammation.

seriously i have no idea too... haha...

but this study might not be the same when apply to human...

the advantage of emu oil is it is very similar to human oil and can go through human skin easily...

one of the reason that emu oil can have anti-inflammation and skin regenerate properties is due to high oleic acid content which olive oil have too... so i won't be surprise too that olive oil work as well as emu oil on the surface of the skin...

most of the study on different oil show they work as close as emu oil although not better at least on the skin...
