what does new growth look like?

i have recently noticed small hairs growing around my hairline but i'm unable to tell if this is just "normal" hair growth. does anyone have any feedback on what new hair growth looks like or how to distinguish if its incremental or just part of your normal hair cycle?

it begins usually with increased peach fuzz white hairs, wich then grow thicker and thicker, finally starting to color in.

also, if using growth stimulant such as minoxidil, the odd full colored hair will pop out really quickly, (really good follicle responder??)
