What Exactly Is The Difference Between A Norwood 6 And 7?

i feel like this is a pretty hazy area. I see a lot of pictures on hair restoration sites showing a Norwood 7, but the hair is still pretty high on the sides. I thought a Norwood 7 is supposed to be literally just a small wreath of hair that starts maybe an inch above the ears?

This. The difference between 5, 6 and 7 is marginal and useful only to the hair surgeon evaluating donor and outcomes.
Psychologically it's the end. No more a man, but 'that bald guy over there'. Reaching this stage before the age of 60 is psychologically impairing.

I am heading towards Norwood 7.
My hair transplant surgeon whom i consulted said if my hair line(hairline located over temporal bone and on occipital bone) goes below Ears level,i will be norwood 7.

I think that once you hit NW6, you just have to shave and be done with it. There's no playing or hiding around. It's either that, or some absolutely ridiculous combover / skullet / etc. look

The really bad news is that once you're a 6 or 7, there's little that can be done with current technology. You're bald for life, until hair-cloning or some miracle drug comes along.

I'll probably reach Norwood 10 with the way things are going with my hair. I can only laugh about it, at the same time wanting to cry, because it's just so pathetic.

I don't know, do you have DUPA as well? Actually idk if I have DUPA or just very aggressive hair loss, because I have a patch of thick hair in the nape and also a patch in the front (hairline)

I have a hairpiece glued to my head so there would be no point

Yes, the hair on top of my head minus the hairline is shaved and the hair piece is glued. When I first started wearing a hair piece I did a different technique were they used a net and attached hair to it, but in the end it did not work very well...
