Hey guys, every 4-6 months I get blood work done because I take Synthroid for lifelong hypothyroidism and have to test for TSH, free T3 and T4.
Doctor always does a bunch of tests at the same time like good and bad cholesterol, A1C, alhumin, liver enzymes, red blood cell and macrophage count, all the vitamins / minerals, all of that stuff. Normally he does not test for any sex hormones (I'm 32, maybe I'm young so that's why) but I've hoticedn!y hair is thinning more. I've been on avodart and rogaine since I was 16. I have to get blood work done on the first of September, so what specific tests for hormone levels and whatever else I need to test for should I request when they do my labs?
Do I need to ask for male and female hormones or just male? Thanks!
