I’m 18 years old and have noticed my hair has been different when styling it over the last couple year or so. I never thought I would have a receding hairline because my moms side has no baldness and my dad is 50 with just a small crown bald spot and some overall thinning. I’m scared as I don’t wanna be bald in my 20s. I can’t even grow a beard yet ffs. Is there any hope for my hairline? Also please look at every photo. Thanks

How long u think I could maintain with propecia or some medical stuff like that?
First off, I' m not even sure if you are balding. Maybe less density, but I can't say nothing with certainty. That's why you should monitor your hair every 3 months or so, ideally with photos. Secondly, welcome to the hair loss world where nothing is for sure. There are people who could maintain with finasteride for over 10 years. It all depends on how aggressive your hair loss is. To get a rough idea look at the hair loss pattern of your closest relatives like your father or your maternal grandfather

Wym mean by less density. I haven’t noticed my hair being thinner. Only things is my temples where I’m 95% sure there is receding. Also my maternal grandfather is 80 and has a full head of hair. By full I mean full. Got the Justin Bieber style hair from a while back. Dad is like kinda bald. He has no receding hairline and is 50. Just thinking overall and a bald patch at the crown. Anyways thanks for responding man. Helps a lot. Kinda panicking about it rn lol

Genetics is on your side, just monitor your hairline every 2 or 3 months by taking photos of it. Don't start any treatment really, you are more or less a Norwood 0, you got a long way before it becomes noticeable, so just monitor it
