To be honest the chance that it is Telogen Effluvium is not high. It looks like you have dpa or mbp. Either way if you want to try to slow down your hairloss you should start with the big 3.

What is happening? You have male pattern baldness, 100% sure. Start finasteride, stay on nizoral shampoo (do not use more than two or three times weekly or it will ruin your hair) and also minoxidil once or twice daily if you want max regrowth possible. If you are satisfied with maintaining though I suggest you skip the minoxidil

I think The pain in your scalp is because of this: The hairfollikle isn't growing anymore so there is no "hair" at the location where it used to be, for some reason your body sends out a pain signing because of that. This is not treatable.
