What Kind Of Hair Loss Do I Have? And Can I Grow More Hair?

Ok, so I just turned 16 last week, and I've been losing my hair ever since October or November of 2015. I always use to have a thick head of hair, i mean seriously, my hairline hadn't even receded much. And my hairline still hasn't receded much, but overall my hair is getting much thinner, and I can see bald spots appearing in areas.

I've tried alot of methods to stop my hair loss, or reduce the numbers. I lose around 20-40 hairs daily, which is normal. BUT I had never lost that much hair in a day before this whole thing started, and the main problem is that I'm not growing a lot of those hairs back. I've tried Vitamin pills, I've currently been doing Biotin for about 2-3 months, but my hair doesn't seem to be getting better. Also, my hair is incredibly itchy, and I have dandruff. The dandruff started I think around April, where I went around 1-2 weeks without shampoo, and barely washing my hair. I had quite long hair as well, and the dandruff only got worse since april because I wasn't washing my hair properly. I was scared of doing massages when I applied shampoo because I thought it would increase the hair loss. It was only until October I believe, that I really started to spread the shampoo all over my scalp, and do massages...but the dandruff hasn't really gotten better. I don't know if I'm applying too much Shampoo, either. I usually put some shampoo on my hand and do one section of my hair. Then I rinse that part, apply shampoo to my hand, and then apply it to another section. And it just came to me that I might be applying too much shampoo. So ill just shampoo my entire head in with some shampoo, without doing it in sections today, to see if anything's changed.

I have applied Coconut, Olive, and Castor Oil to my scalp last summer, but I would just end up losing a lot of hair still. And I would find a lot of baby hairs on the floor. I think it might've been that I wasn't properly washing out the oil properly sooo...something bad happened there lol. I stopped using oils in September. And now I started applying Coconut and Castor oil this year again, you know to give it another go, and see if I can get more hair regrowth, because that's really what i'm trying to do now, grow more new hairs. I've been actually washing the oils out this time, but I haven't seen any baby hairs, but ill still keep applying. Also, when I started applying the oils again this month, I saw alot of thin hairs coming out when I was doing the massages, lots of thin hairs getting stuck on my fingers..do you guys have any idea what that's about? are those falling out, so stronger and thicker hairs can now grow because of the oils?

Also I wanted to add, quite a bit of the hair I lose has like this thing stuck to the roots of my hair, it's kinda crusty and is yellow and white in color. Is that because my scalp is still unhealthy and clogged?

I went to the Derm in October, and he said it was Hormonal..but that's all he said really..he didn't really tell me much about. He suggested the Biotin, and like I said, I've been doing that ever since. 1 pill a day. Should I increase it to 2 pills a day?

Anyways, that's kind of my story. I just wanna know if you guys have any tips. Like if there's anything I should change? Do you guys think it's Hormonal? and do you think new hair will start growing now that I've gone back to Castor and Coconut oil?
