I'm using DualGen-5 which contains 5% Minoxidil 5%, Azelaic Acid, 0.025% Retin-A and 0.001% Caffine.

In the past I've used Nanonminox -MS / Dr Lee's minoxidil w Retin-A and Kirkland.

I think DualGen-5 is a good product but I always know I have it in my hair - so I just use it in the evening.
I wouldn't call it greasy - certainly not as bad as Kirkland, more sticky.

Dr Lee's minoxidil was great , fast drying and effective.
Nanominox -MS - really liked the product and it had a great buzz around it when it came out but the original people sold out and after that you had to email a guy called Johnny to get the product - just seemed a bit dodgy. At around $35, I expected something a bit more professional.

Just about to make another order for DualGen-5, so I thought I'd check to see if anyone has any recommendations for a good minoxidil.

Presently using and maintaining on:

RU58841
Neogenic
DualGen-5

I mix 120mg with 6ml of Neogenic, 1 minute shake for it to dissolve.
Then use 2ml of the mix per day.

I've never actually even heard of DualGen-5 but it sounds interesing. Would be interested to see what others think, since it has AA in it.

I use Lipogaine liquid at night and Kirkland foam in the morning.

I've currently been using Kirkland Signature's generic Minoxidil, it works well at treating my Male Pattern Baldness and receive plenty of benefit from it. :)

i used walmart equate, target and rogaine brand. i don't think they make a damn difference, just as long as you are using minoxidil.
was actually at costco today, i didnt see the liquid version, only the foam behind the pharmacy counter. i wonder why you cant just pick it up off the shelf like regular stores.

Because it's a medication, not a chocolate bar that you can get from the candy aisle, lol.

I use lipogaine, which contains minoxidil, azetinol, saw palmetto, beta-sitosterol, niacin and biotin. So far so good, I'm into fourth month, had some success, but the best thing about it is that it doesn't cause irritation and it dries out super fast, which awesome as many other brands that I've tried were rather greasy.

do you think lipogaine is more effective than other brands? can you elaborate further; I'm interested in trying it.

I used "official" Rogaine for the first four months, then a generic (from an online pharmacy) for the succeeding 11 months. The generic - and considerably cheaper - brand has been equally effective as the name brand for me :)

Well in terms of effectiveness I can't really say, I've only been using it for 5 weeks. But honestly it has to be the best brand I tried thus far. It never gave me a rash or damaged skin, nor irritation, which I was dying to fight when I started minoxidil. It is a bit more expensive than regular brands, but I prefer it.

Also..... Can I use different types of minoxidil each day, say.... Lipogaine one day and dualgen 5% the next??

i just bought a bottle of lipogaine but I'm gonna return it. i bought it off amazon, and id have to be lying to myself to believe that the reviews are not completely fake. there are so many overwhelmingly good reviews, and when you further investigate, the buyers have only made one review for amazon, and its for lipogaine, or the review says that the review was left for a free trial bottle of the product. too too fishy in my opinion. also from what I've read on other forums, the lipogaine seems to not be consistent. unlike rogaine, kirkland, equate, target etc, those big name companies that have quality insurance, i cant trust these unknown companies. balding men are quick to try anything, and the market targets our insecurities. there is also the debate that saw palmetto which is found in lipogaine can make your hairless worst or give you side effects. if i could find a consistent batch of forum users using lipogaine with good results id try it, but i cant believe amazon reviews anymore.

Difference between Men vs Women's minoxidil ?

I'm a new user and can't yet create my own thread :-(

This thread udner which brand are you using seems most relevent to my question.

In Canada, at Shoppers Drug Mart in my area they sell 2% Rogaine liquid for men or 5% Rogaine Foam for women.

I know Rogaine also makes a 5% foam for men,but my local store just sells the 5% rogaine foam for women.

Someone told me that the 5% Rogaine Foam for Women and the 5% Rogaine Foam for Men are actually identical? It's just the packaging/box has different words on it but the ingreditients and preperation are identical/same??

Is that true? If so would it make more sense to buy the 5% Rogaine Foam ("for women" it says on the box) and use that versus the 2% liquid.

Both of these are no-prescription-required in Ontario/Canada so fairly convenient for me to pick up. Plus I lock buying from shoppers drug mart because I get loyalty points (called optimum points) that I can use later for free stuff

Hello Warner , I personally use lipogaine for 8 months so far and got very good result on top of my head ( not that much on crown ) , I also use that 4 months in past too
and was satisfied from that. I follow up the reviews on amazon and I agree with you most of them are fake , thats for 90 % of hairloss products on amazon . anyhow , for those who say the batch is not consistent the reason is they buy it from other source and I don't have any comment about that , mine hasn't change in the last 2 years ( on and off use) . I also post my success stories on this forum as well .

hi parse, thanks for your reply. i was speaking to Jazz on the forum about using lipogaine, and he said that he had experienced quite a shed with it. so I'm hesitant to start using it.

as a current lipogiane user, what are the ingredients in it that you think contribute to its success (apart from the minoxidil) since the AA was taken out of the formula?
