What Norwood am I ? A bit of a mixed bag

I have a funny hairline recession … hairline has always , even as a kid risen in the right but has def shown signs of recession .

I also have thinning on the crown

sooo what Norwood am I ?

Because they don't think that you have hair loss so they don't bother commenting, even though you actually have early signs of hair loss.

No you have hair loss, your hairline looks really good, but looks to be thinning at the temples and the crown area is definitely going in my book, don’t listen to some of the advice here. If you jump straight onto 0.5 Avodart you could regrow them crown and maintain what you have at the hairline for a very long time. To regrow the temporal corners is difficult.

These were pics of my crown 4 years ago when I was aged 30 and jumped on 0.5mg a day ..

As dutasteride is not FDA approved I am apprehensive to jump on it …

You are thinning in those pics as well. My hair started thinning veeeeeeeeeeery slowly at 15 at the temples and stayed like that until 23-24 when I took a hit at those thin temporal parts. Was your crown the same 4 years ago? I see the message now haha

Yeah you were thinning clearly at the crown back then but since you jumped on finasteride it’s stabilised and not really progressed. I think the only way to regrow the hair you have lost is 5% Regaine/Rogaine or Hair Transplant…. Forget about micro needling or Ru5 or anything else.
This is me 17 months on Avodart and no sides and my hair is thicker than ever except some temporal parts of the hairline. I’ve just started Regaine for that

Wow that’s great progress . I really wish the FDA would approve dutasteride in England so it was more accessible and lost that air of mystery surrounding it .

So would you say I haven’t lost any further since those pics 4 years ago ? Therefore should I stick on finasteride as I am doing ? To be honest , if it stays like this I am fine as the crown thinning etc isn’t noticeable when styled and washed etc ?
