What norwood would you say I am?

Hi, I am a 21 year old male with a naturally high hairline, as you can see from this picture when I had short hair around 1.5 years ago (I'm pretty sure I am a norwood 1 here, and I have had a high hairline all my life, never really had a low juvenille hairline) 1743636_10152419428197117_8491043130047339324_n.jpg . I do not want to cut my hair again, so I took some photos earlier with my current hairline. Am I still a norwood one or possibly a 1.5 or something? I feel as if I am slowly on my way to a norwood 2. Here are the pics. DSC_0490.jpgDSC_0493.jpgDSC_0495.jpgDSC_0496.jpgDSC_0498.jpg

It is hard to style a high hairline, and often when I grow my hair out front, it looks like I am covering a bald spot, rather than my forehead.

Additionally, I have always had fine hair, even as a young child (6 or 7), so have not had the luxury of having very thick hair. However, when my hair is wet, it looks incredibly thin on top (when it is dry you would never know), as these pictures here show you. DSC_0504.jpgDSC_0508.jpg Should I be concerned about the pictures to the left? You can see more scalp than you should, right?

Anyhow, all opinions and insights welcome. Even if it turns out I am not balding, what advice would you give to someone with a high hairline in terms of styling your hair?

You are balding. I can tell from the wet pics. Start finasteride only between a half milligram and 1.25mg daily to stop your hairloss

Are you sure because here are two other pictures of my hair I took a few days prior. One with gel in and my hair stuck up, the other without any gel in. DSC_0471.jpgDSC_0466.jpg

I have shampoo in my hair, so it is not only just wet. Can that affect it as well? Man I'm freaking out now!.

Additionally, here are two pictures I took about 1 month ago with my hair down, and up. My hairline is straight, doesn't appear receded. I heard this was a good thing? But you've now said I am balding? I'm so worried. Anybody else on here got any views? Also, what norwood am I?a1021t.jpgsmvm8x.jpg

EvilLocks, I have noticed my hair is not as thick/dense as some of my friends though. Is this something I need to be worried about? I have read about diffuse thinning as well. I have had pretty fine hair all of my life though, so perhaps it is normal for some people to have less hairs on their head than others. I saw a picture about 3 years ago, and my hair seems as thin as it is now than it was then. I guess it is just genetics. In any event, as long as I have coverage all over, I can live with the fine hair (LOL like I have a choice. God help me if I do start balding). Thanks for reassuring me anyhow because zzzzz scared the hell out of me.

The only picture that shows any signs of thinning is the one where your hair is wet and sort of parted in the middle. All the other pics look pretty normal with no signs of thinning at all.

Definitely male pattern baldness. You already believe that otherwise you would not be on this forum. But if you start finasteride now you might be lucky and maintain that for a long time and no one outside of these forums will be able to tell you're balding

Hey guys, wow, so many differing opinions, I don't know what to believe. So the reason I signed up is becuase despite my hairline looking relatively in tact, and my crown in good shape, my hair seems way too thin when wet. So despite having coverage, it seems not have density.

Now my scalp is really itchy just after I take a shower or after 2 or 3 days of oil buildup (this occurs all over, even in my hair at the back). Only really the day after it is not too itchy (currently wash my hair with head and shoulders every other day). I also sometimes have small red spots near my hairline and on occasion have noticed some like dry skin on my beard (when I rub white stuff keeps appearing and doesn't leave until it vanishes completely). When washing my hair and rubbing onto my scalp, it can also feel like there is a cut there, even though there is not.

Could I have seborrheic dermatitis? It would explain my thinning without great hairline recession (i heard you can get diffuse hairloss with it). Additionally, in the past, I have had sebaceous cysts surgically removed from my scalp (they had got relatively big). I am not sure if that is relevant.

I will take pictures of my hair on the back, if that is also thin, then maybe not male pattern baldness (i heard you keep back hair).

Ok so, I don't need to take on the back, because the front is not so bad I do not think. It's weird because after I shampoo and condition (well it's a 2 in 1, so I don't do seperate), then for the rest of the day my hair is dead fluffy and feels less thick. Today (the day I do not wash my hair), this is the result DSC_0482.jpg. I kid you not, when I did it yesterday, the line of my skull was far wider. I'll keep you guys updated if I see any recession or thinning elsewhere. I hope it was just me panicking this entire time. Also, lastly two shots of my crown (then I promise not to post anymore pictures). Does it look ok? I do sleep on my crown, so that might be why in one picture there seems to be a part.

I don't know what the f*ck some of you are talking about, this dude's density is phenomenal (again like Notcool said except for that one wet hair picture). The density of hairs at the hairline is great. When you start thinning it's easy to tell because you can see your scalp a few centimeters behind your hairline. You can't even see a few millimeters behind this guys hairline. Unless your hair is falling out extremely selectively right at the very edge of your hairline I would say you're not balding, or not balding at any alarming rate.

Norwood 2 with diffuse thinning. Get on the big 3 as soon as you can.

From what you have said i would ditch the Head & Shoulders as it can irritate some, use a mild shampoo for everyday use or an aloe vera shampoo and buy some Nizoral use 2-3 times a week. That should sort out any scalp issues you are having.
