What percentage of scalph DHT is reduced with Propecia

That is to say if you take the 1 mg per day recommended dose. I searched this board and I found some posts that said 61 % scalp DHT is inhibited while others said only as little as 38 % scalp DHT is inhibited.

I think 38% scalp DHT is inhibited at 5mg/day (see the black line in the chart below). Not sure about 1mg/day.

that graph is irrelevant. It just shows dutasteride blood levels, not hair counts or DHT levels.


don't worry about scalp levels. Worry about follicle DHT levels. Propecia reduces follicle DHT by 80-90%. Not sure. But 5mg reduces it by 90%, and avodart 98.5%. (in the follicle, where it matters)

the text on bottom shoes the number of days.

dude...how long have you been a chemistry "student"?

Look at the text near the end of the lines...it gives percentages of the dht in your system and on your scalp.
