hi there! im 26 ,male, and im start notice that im loosing hair when i was 21,i decide to take propecia when i was 22, after 3 month of use my livido crashed down and i was very scared and stopped taking propecia....
8 month ago i decide to give propecia a second chance ...i dont have any livido problems at all ...but i cant see that the hair loss is stopped or even slow ..(i must to say that after 5 years of loosing hair i still have most of the hair except from my hairline)
my question is if after 8 month of use with no reasult i still need to keep taking propecia??
or in other words, anyone here start to see reasults after 8 month??

thank u all

Propecia only works as long as you take it. If it is working and you stop then you will start losing your hair again. If you were losing before and maintaining now then the drug is working.

Get on dutasteride if you think that finasteride isn´t working for you.

I'm confused how did you keep the same amount of hair for that many years on no hair loss drugs with male pattern baldness?

Also according to what Ive read propecia slowly slows down your hair loss as you continue to take it, by the time you hit the 10-12 month mark it should if its working have halted your hair loss or brought it down to a crawl, so if propecia is working you will keep the hair you have at the 1 year mark of taking propecia, I would keep it up for at least a year, take a pic of your hair at the 1 year mark then take another pic 2-4 months later and see if it has worsend any or if you have maintained, if it's gotten worse switch to dutasteride if it's maintained and that's not enough for you switch to dutasteride, if it's maintained and your happy with what you have left to maintain then continue to take it.
