What's the best way to deal with sebum?

Trying to investigate the reason behind my hair loss I've addressed androgenic approach, using microneedling, Minoxidil and Nizoral. But I keep shedding... What I didn't address yet is sebum.

I've always had oily skin/hair. Till age 30 I had acne on my face AS WELL AS on my scalp. Yet my hair was thick. I used to wash my head twice per week, usually with a regular "Head and Shoulders" shampoo. Later I started using whatever shampoo my wife was using... Usually some natural ones. About 2.5 years ago I switched to once a week head washing due to not having time mid week.

Looks like sebum might be one if the causes for me. But what's best way to remove sebum? Some articles on the web advice against washing too frequently because then sebum produces faster...

Here are my main questions. What is the best shampoo for sebum and how often should it be used?

Also, doesn't Minoxidil contribute to plugging those follicles just like sebum does?

Thanks!

A shampoo that contains salicylic acid might be useful, try alpecin dandruff killer, it contains salicylic acid plus piroctone olamine. I like it much better than most other shampoos i have tried.

Thanks. How often should it be used? They say not too often, and not too far apart...

Also, I'm using Nizoral once a week, edited my original post to add that. Does Nizoral fight sebum as well? Should I use Alpecin once a week and Nizoral another time or two?

@Pianist
I have the same as you sebum production is was aggressive
I have oily scalp, oily hair and forehead. I need to shower my head every day.
The only think that seems to help a little bit is Keto shampoo and Ginko supplement.

Thanks

Dawn dish wash and medium scrubber brush, scrub your scalp! I been suing it for years as a pre cleanse.
