when did you see your best results from dutasteride?

About a year in. After that everything went to sh it. My hair has been thinning each consecutive year (been on it for about 3.5 years total). I don't understand it. This stuff is supposed to block almost all DHT, so why is this happening??!! It may have something to do with a raise in testosterone levels, but then one guy on such and such a forum says that's a bunch of crap....followed by another guy who says the guy who said it's a bunch of crap doesn't know what he's talking about. Then one guy will say to use a topical anti-androgen to deal with the increased testosterone and to "mop up" any extra dht. Then you start reading about different anti-androgens and the process starts all over where one guy will say something is the greatest thing and then another guy will say it's crap. There's no end to it. It's impossible to know what to do.
I'm even thinking about going back on finasteride.
