When Do You See Biggest Change With Propecia

Well I've been taking Propecia for in between a year and a half I'd say. I think it's helped maintain and I noticed a nice difference after say 9 months or so. Lately I might be shedding a bit but it's hard to say.

Was just wondering from everyone when you see the biggest improvement, or reported so. First year, first 2 years. Around year 3 or 4??? Or way down the road around 8-10 years. I know it's job is only to maintain but I think I've heard stories about hair line being increased.

Also I take Antibiotics at the same time for Acne in the morning. Should I try to separate them and take Propecia at night instead?

that might be as good as ur gonna get. results vary a lot. propecia isnt a wonder drug. put it this way- if u hadnt been on propecia you would probably have less hair right now.

I just found out something about propecia...It doesnt actually stop hairloss at all..It only stops it while you are on it..Did you guys know that if you take propecia for lets say 3 years..if you stop using propecia you will have a catch up hairloss that will make your hair as bad as it would be had you used nothing..So why not just use rogaine? rogaine stops hairloss as long as you use it and if you quit you will lose the hair you have lost anyway..propecia is the exact same thing.. I thought it actually stopped hairloss..but this catch up hairloss thing tells me it doesnt stop anything.

Of course it doesn't stop hairloss, if it did then more people would not be walking around balding. All it does is SLOW DOWN hairloss not stop it.

What you're referring to is a cure to hairloss. Propecia is not a cure, nor does it claim to be.

Then why do they say it is more effective than rogaine? Rogaine grows more hair than propecia...And they do the exact same thing...They both stop hairloss aslong as you use them..If you quit either you will be where you would have been hairloss wise had you used nothing.

Rogaine did nothing for me other than give me greasy hair and constant sneezing, it was simply unusable. Finasteride however worked wonders even before I added Androcur and Estrogens.

It really came as a shock to me when i found out if you stop using propecia your hairloss will be as if you had used nothing...I really used to think propecia stopped hairloss when you were on it and if you quit your hair would just go back to pre propecia and you wouldnt have further hairloss..

I had quite good and steady progress in the first 18 to 24 months, I then addedd a lot of other medication to my regimen which are way outside the scope of the OP

FWIW, I had *no* gyno, continued to lose weight, and *no* loss of "manhood" what-so-ever in the first 18 months. After that of course all bets were off.
