nizoral can be too harsh on the scalp to use everyday. Possibly being counterproductive.. suppose it depends on the person?

you can add a topical dht inhibitor such as spironolactone if you wish, or an SOD such as folligen. that would be my advice.

you can use:

* topical Zix (stimulant or possible 5 alpha-reductase inhibitor, hommade zinc+b6, very CHEAP, take a look on http://www.advinfoprod.com/hair_loss_treatment_5.htm

* topical spironolactone-cream from Dr.Lee, it's a bit expensive anti-androgen, can get it from http://www.minoxidil.com

* topical SOD like tricomin or folligen, growth stimulant, don't use it when your also using Zix, zinc and copper cancel each other out, you can get it from here http://www.hairlosstalk.com

* hormone regulating herbals like flax SDG, beta-sitosterol, pygeum, nettle, pumpkin etc (altough side effects are also possible on these)
have a look at http://www.freewebs.com/immortalhair.

* inflammatory reducing herbals like fish/borage oil, green tea etc.
have a look at http://www.regrowth.com, there's a guy called Hogan38 with an interesting theory about the relation between Prostagladins, EFA's and hairloss.

main thing:
if your not using propecia or dutasteride, you have to use a multi-angle approach to be succesfull!

hey viper, how is scalp med going for you?

Really hard to say Jimmy. I just began my 5th month. I really can't say to much yet, besides it is the easiest minoxidil to apply. Are you liking the blue stuff? Is it helping with your irritation? I have used Tricomin numerous times in the past and never got much from it, except a nice cosmetic effect.

I thought copper and zinc only competed for absorbtion inside your body systematically, not when applied topically to the skin?

topical processes (under the skin) could sometimes be similar than systematic processes. I've heard some people who had bad interactions with zinc and copper topically.
