Older users might be familiar with a show called 90210 Beverly Hills.
The cool, dark type was a guy named Dylan.
Every girl loved him.

I was a teenager at that time. But I knew about hairloss. And I had a feeling something would go wrong with Dylan.

come on still looks good ...
Indeed he does.
It is just that sometimes you just know where a person’s hairline is going...
A manifest destiny of the scalp.

Kind of reminds me of what I viewed earlier.

That front can take someone from perfectly handsome to being somewhat normalised although still above average.
It is all there: the FRONT. you may have the thickest crown in the world but, if the temples recede, your overall appearance suffers so badly...

I hope this patient is maintaining is hair , because even if this is a perfect hairline, this is quite a risky bet

Now his hair was better than mine density wise when we were the same age. But now I actually did better than him so it can go either way.

Maybe he does not respond to finasteride ;-)

This is a interesting thread reminds me of how ignorant I was and how annoying it is now to analyze and get THAT feeling. Yes I find it cumbersome. I remember I used to subconsciously admire a nicely styled hair but never did I pay attention, nor analyze receding hair. Now that I think back and compared to now....

There was only one member that I thought looked odd for some reason(It was the hair, but I did not know it at the time). Now it's easy for us norwood spotters to tell. You'd think it would be either AJ McLean(far left) or Howie Dorough (far right) with their five head, but I really did not think they looked odd. But I vividly remember only subconsciously that Brian Littrell(midde),even with his cover up game, looked odd to me. His hair style is not bad, it's the density that throws it off.

Check them out when younger. It's easy for us to spot now and get that feeling about AJ McLean(far left) or Howie Dorough, but Brian Littrell had hair on par with
Nick Carter. He actually still has decent hair nowadays for his age.

Two stars now looking back at their younger pictures who I wouldn't have thought would recede as much as they did (keep their hair like Brad Pitt) would have been

1. Jason Priestly

2. Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zac Morris)

I watched the original 21 Jump Street not that long ago and the actors had pretty great hair but yet I was able to predict(without knowing how their hair situation is now before predicting, save for Johnny Depp). The only one I thought would keep great hair into their older years(although Johnny Depp considered to have good hair), would be Dustin Nguyen.

It's not just the hairline, but the size and shape of the forehead + thickness(diameter + density) of hair that gives you a chance of receding gracefully. You can see the forehead size difference of Dustin Nguyen and Johnny Depp in this picture also. Johnny Depp hasn't receded that much, but the difference between Dustin and Johnny, is that few cm of starting forehead size.

Dustin Nguyen definitely thinned/receded a bit, but here he is in older years, not sure of his age here.

Here's a better shot of his hairline without cover up game. It's thinned a bit, but his hair in his 40's was still dense. He's 55 now.

I am surprised he still has that much hair, quite a temple recession in younger years.
