If you go back in history.

Where did this faulty gene come from? Was it from inbreeding?

The first humans on earth weren't bald.

How was it created and passed on?

I would like to know...

Is it really genetics? Or does something go wrong during conception?

So you are saying a human potentially fucked a balding gorilla?

I still don't understand where it came from or originated. Maybe primates inbred with each other.

There really nowadays should be genetic testing at birth in the embryo to locate the balding gene and remove it or destroy it.

I've read somewhere that might be possible

I'd like David to chime in here because I won't hazard a guess.

Yeah a human fucked a gorilla. That makes much more sense than humans and gorillas having s common monkey ancestor with the androgenic allopecia mutation.

The theory goes that hair loss signals maturity, and it is maturity that was seen as a positive thousands of years ago.

And to think they probably didn't even have gym in those days

They probably didn't need the gym back then, as they most likely had to do a lot of physical 'work' in their daily lives, like hunting and getting food, building shelter etc. My grandfather (who died this fall at 92 years old) never went to the gym and I saw a picture of him as young and he was FIT! Huge muscles, six pack and everything. He got like that by doing physical work all day long.
