Where do you guys get your finasteride in the UK?

I just got back from the pharmacy who told me Propecia would cost £151 for 3 months...
So where do you guys buy your cheap finasteride from in the UK? I have a prescription from the doctor but I'm not quite sure how this works ordering medication that isn't from a pharmacy.
Any help?

Thank you! I've been prescribed propecia, do I need to find the medication I want and go back to the doctor and ask to be prescribed that specific medication?
Also which one do I go for?

For finasteride - as far as I remember for DrFox, you don't need a script but it's a bit cheaper if you do get a script and post it to them. I don't bother getting one though.

Cheers for the info, I Think I'll go with proscar, it works out to £17 for 4 and a half months worth!

I hadn't seen you can get proscar on that site without a script, certainly works out to be cheaper. I've been taking 0.25/day because it's supposedly mostly as effective and cheaper but the proscar would be affordable.

I began last April and was on it until December taking a couple single week breaks inbetween. My hair maintained / slightly improved in that time while not being totally consistent so was quite happy with it. Came off at christmas due to thinking I had sides but it turned out to be caused by stress and using minoxidil 2xday (brain fog) - i'm convinced most finasteride sides are in your head.

I'm 99% sure my hair thinned being off for a month, buzzed my hair and started again mid Jan and totally happy. Will probably increase to 0.5mg and then 1mg in the future as it supposedly inhibits DHT in the same amounts yet hair counts were found to increase more with the full dose.

That sounds expensive to me. If you join the Boots hair loss programme you can get it 24 months for £190 and don't think you need a prescription.

I've never had a problem with generic finasteride. I think it is awesome.
