where to apply

First off: where EXACTLY is the vertex, and where exactly is the crown of the head? Now, I'm told that rogaine (5%) only works on the crown; using the non-foam liquid version, the 1ml I apply (twice daily) wouldn't be enough to apply to the whole top of my head anyway...

so im wondering:
1. where are most people applying it?
2. how much (in ml, if possible) minoxidil 5% are they using?

thank you!

Sorry if this is a stupid answer, but apply it where you want hair to grow. :D

All of my gains are at the front of my head, right where I apply it. Photos in my sig. I use 1/2 a cap 2x a day as it says on the directions (FOAM).

ahh

reason I asked was because I heard rogaine does not work in the front of the scalp, but I guess that isn't true (judging by your pictures)

I think that their studies focused solely on the crown. So they might only be able to say it has been proven effective for the crown.

Lots of people use it on the front of the head, though. If you put it on your arms, I bet you that you sprout thicker hairs there as well. :D

Dude in NJ is correct. It works everywhere. I think I've had better results in the front than the back. Also, one ml per application is usually sufficient to cover the top of the scalp. There's a certain amount of diffusion that goes on beneath the scalp, so you don't really need to cover every little spot.

Strange. Anyone know why they haven't paid for studies on minoxidil all over the front of the head, too? Seems like they would want to so they could claim it works all over.
