I get Proscar for my dad from either www.unitedpharmacies.com or www.qhi.co.uk , depending on who the prevailing exchange rate favours. With Sterling's drop against the US Dollar, it's the latter of the two.

The drugs are shipped from overseas, even for a UK-based site such as qhi, but providing you buy one pack (30 tablets) at a time you shouldn't have any problems with the Customs & Excise boys.

Can a normal GP give you prescription?

One I asked didn't know about the drug. The other didn't mention it specifically but said I shouldn't bother as they're expensive/for life/limited results etc. and not availible on the NHS - But had I asked him, does he have the power to write a presciption?

Anytime you buy online there is a risk but I do not think you proved anything. Anyone can say "they are fake" and talk about what they look or taste like. Unless they are tested by a lab there is no way to be sure if they are real or if they are fakes. Again this is more of a reason to go to your Doctor and not buy online.

Hey don't get me wrong brother, it does sounds fishy and yes I get a leaflet when I go to the pharmacy. I am not defending that pharmacy nor ANY online pharmacy, I am the one here who always says "go to your doctor". All I am saying is that anyone can say "these are fakes" but the people reading your post have no way of knowing if the person saying it is legit or not, that's all. Anyway once again this does prove that the Doctor is the best way to get your meds nonetheless. I appreciate your post and for making people aware.

As far as me buying them from UP, no way, I get mine from my local pharmacy, I have always thought buying them from ANYONE online is a risk.

Why don't you email UP and tell them what you think...how do you know the inside shouldn't be yellow? You are making some harsh accusations while providing no proof.
