I'm kinda scared to try the generic stuff from India just incase it isn't quality, I don't feel like worrying about if it's real or not. Also, I don't wanna constantly cut up proscar because I'm lazy so i'm gonna spend the extra money and buy Propecia from a US pharmacy with no prescription. Can someone please provide a link to the cheapest online US pharmacy that sells propecia. Thanks. - Johnny

Well, what site did you get it from and how much?

I still want to know what's the cheapest place to buy propecia to btw.

I'll consider the finasteride though.

hey JohnnyGobbs,

people can counterfeit Propecia just like they can generic Finasteride. You seem very scared of getting a counterfeit drug. If you're so scared, why don't you just go to your derm and get a prescription? You should be able to get Propecia for around 700 a year then.

It's still less likely that a reputable online pharmacy would sell counterfeit propecia when they're coming straight from Merck. The whole India thing with the generic is more shady.

Maybe I'll go to a derm, seems like a hassle though since he'd prob just give me a script for propecia and it's not like it's going to save me any money getting the script from a derm anyways. right?

They may not be coming straight from Merck. There are counterfeiters out there who can stamp the Merck logo on fake blister packs of drugs and most people wouldn't be able to tell. There is a higher incentive to counterfeit the Merck drugs because Indian generics are already dirt cheap in India. It's India man.

And for your info, there is a generic Proscar out in the US right now and it's made by the same Indian company that makes Finpecia(cheap generic of Propecia).

Or you can get a script from medicalwellnesscenter.com

Either way for someone who seems so concerned about it that's your best bet. You are not going to save any money ordering it from a non-prescription required site. It may even cost you more. So I'd just go to your derm. Your insurance will probably cover the visit and you can pay for the propecia yourself. A pity that you don't want to cut up pills with Proscar because we're talking about $400 a year in savings. You can get Merck Proscar from your local pharmacy, a year's supply for around $270. Propecia will run you in some cases 3 times that much. But if money is no option, I guess so...

Do you cut up a years worth of proscar all at once or do it like once a day/week or whatever? I would rather save the 400 bucks.

i cut up one pill at a time into four pieces. when i'm finished with the four pieces i cut up another pill and start over. only cut up one pill at a time. it's worth it. go to your derm and get a prescription or get one from that site above to call in to your local pharmacy and you can get a year's supply of real Merck Proscar for around $270-275.
