Where can I buy Nizoral in Canada? from a regular drug store?

is it over the counter or is a prescription needed? I'd rather get it in a store then online.

Also should I get 1% or 2%?

many sites claiming to be canadian say they sell 2% without a prescription, because it is not needed for 2% in canada. Cheap too. Just look at the right side of the google search page after searching for nizoral. It would be funny if those canadian sites only ship to the us though.

You're in Canada? Dude, you can pick it up from any general store; I get mine from Safeway just in the Shampoo aisle, it cost somewhere around 13-15 dollars per bottle (2% ketaconazole, 120mL) if it's not on sale. Any store with a sizable selection should carry it. You might also want to try drugstores.

Should last about 2-3 months if you're using it 2-3 times per week.

Well, I'm not promoting buying prescription stuff without a prescription :whistle: but you can get 1% Nizoral shampoo at www.inhousepharmacy.com. You should look around that site ... to find the 1%. Maybe even find a cheap generic in a bulk bottle ... of 1%.

I bought 2% at Wal Mart in Mississauga. It is the only place I have seen 2 percent sold in a normal store.

Sweet, I found the 2% at shoppers drug mart.

Though what is the difference between the 1% and 2%? Which is better? Do they both still do the same job?

Also, how long should I leave it in when showering?

5-10 mins seems to be the general consensus; I typically use another shampoo first to make sure I clean up anything that might be on the scalp, then use nizoral for 5-10 mins while I shower. I rinse it off at the very end and then use a conditioner.

My scalp is dry enough just showering daily with medicated shampoos. No way am I adding a pre-wash.

Ah, sorry. I should've clarified it; I rotate shampoos. I use the neutrogena coal tar and a body shop ginger (PO) shampoo on my off-nizoral days so that I don't dry out my scalp. I don't use nizoral daily...
