White Button Mushroom Decreases Both Estrogen & DHT

According to several studies eating White Button Mushroom lowers body estrogen levels up to 50%, but as a bonus also suppresses DHT. The possible (although wholly unconfirmed) downside to this ostensibly" magic mushroom" may be that by lowering estradiol, we could be, in theory, raising free testosterone, which could be bad for male pattern baldness. How much of the DHT is suppressed may determine that.

I was first attracted to the white button mushroom (aka Large White Mushroom) after hearing that it could lower estrogen levels, so basically undo the estradiol raising effects of Finasteride, but I was curious how that might conflict with Finasteride, or DHT levels, but came to find that apparently it also suppresses DHT as well.

What makes it potentially exciting, is these results were found in vivo given orally with rats at the very least, and it's unclear (different studies at different times), but possibly humans. Certainly not in a petri dish. Meaning People could potentially get started right away adding these to their diet for benefit.

I'm still cautious how, if at all, this may interact with Finasteride. As it's possible free testosterone is raised because of the decrease in estradiol, but let's just say I'm very intrigued with the prospect of something that can limit the effects of higher estrogen caused by finasteride, while also somewhat lowering DHT. I'll be looking into this further.

If anyone else has information/insight with regard to this, feel free to share. Particularly in regard to whether or not lowering estradiol automatically leads to an increase in free testosterone. I would suspect in this case, how much free testosterone is raised vs how much estrogen we're talking about would contribute to that answer. There's a trade off I guess is what I'm saying.

At the very least, this seems like a good way to go for temporary reductions in estrogen while staying on Finasteride, say in instances where someone on Finasteride feels like they may have a decreased libido and wants to have a little more sex, or perform better, for example, or possibly to increase workout endurance.
