Who here has stopped dutasteride...

Upon stopping dutasteride use how long did it take before your hairloss resumed again? How long had you used dutasteride before stopping it? I stopped using dutasteride seven months ago and in it's place used revivogen. I started to shed for about four months and then my hair has slowly started making a comeback. So I want to know if it's still the dutasteride in my system or if its the revivogen working?
I've read that it takes up to six months for dutasteride to get outta your system, but I'm not sure how long it positively effects your hair after stopping its use? Opinoins?

Ugh,

if your hair started to decline during the first 4 months, then that would be a sign that your hair is reacting to you no longer taking dutasteride.

I would definitely say that your hair is coming back due to Revivogen. As it doesnt make sense that after stopping dutasteride your hair would shed/decline for 4 months and then all of a sudden come back when all the time you have stopped taking dutasteride.

By the way, are you still using that spironolactone 5% topical solution from CEM? Because that would be helping too. How are you finding that?

Thanks for your response blaze. As for spironolactone 5% I have stopped using...but not for any negative reason!!!! It was just too much work for me to use both revivogen and spironolactone at the same time. When I was using it, it felt fine, though I didn't use it long enough to give you a proper assesment. But once again, there was nothing wrong with it, it's just sitting in my cabinet right now.
So you think that my maintenance is from revivogen alone? Like there isn't any left over dutasteride in my system? Because I went through sheds exactly like that when I was taking dutasteride. I thought there was a good possibilty that this is another shedding process because I had some dutasteride left in my system. But now it's been over seven months since my last dose of dutasteride so I guess time will tell.

There have been some cases where the DHT levels were still had only returned to 25% of their original levels nearly a YEAR after having discontinued Dutasteride.

i stopped dutasteride due to massive frontal shedding over a year in. am now on propecia and my hair is growing back at quite a rapid degree. for the most part the dutasteride will be out of your system a couple of months after ceasing treatment. there was a graph about it somewhere but i cant find it now.

How did dutasteride work on the middle part of your head and the crown?

Were you on any anti-androgens for your hairline at the time?

dutasteride worked great for my entire head...to be honest (not sarcastic here) the amount of regrowth I had was surreal, I should have been on the advertisments!!
I stopped dutasteride due to massive limp dick problems and gyno. I just wanted your guys opinion on if revivogen is working for me or is this just the dutasteride still in my system eight months after treatment.

there is no way anyone on this board can answer your question as obviously dutasteride leaves the system at a different rate in different people. if you really need to know then get some bloodwork done, thats the only way you'll get a definate answer
