Hey everyone,

This post is directed toward everyone that has been on finasteride for over two years. Answer these two questions and add other comments if applicable.

Age?

How long have you been on finasteride?

How are the results of your hair?

Any sides?

Oh yea, I'll go first.

21 years old

Been on finasteride for 2 years and 4 months.

Results have been very good thus far. My hair loss is stabilized and it has thickened up from day 1. Looks like I'm not balding at all(started finasteride right when I found out).

No side effects. Though I noticed sides when I took 4 weeks off of finasteride(due to not getting around to pharmacy or gettin new Rx). Weird.

been on propecia for 3 years
results have been great as I (would) have aggressive male pattern baldness. I started when I was a Norwood 1.5 with a little diffuse thinning, not much. 3 years later i have regressed to Norwood 2 to 2.5. But that is expected considering where I might have been with no propecia. Slowly, but SURELY, the hair will vanish, as propecia does not eliminate all dht.

No side effects except for watery semen sometimes.

Howdy

On my way to 3.5 years here.

Maintenance. Hairline is still Norwood 0, crown is still thinner, but cosmetically fine. No one has noticed yet - they all still say "you'll never go bald".

No side effects.

There's people on here who've been on it for 6 years or more...

Awesome, Thinning!

8 years - would you say you're still going strong?

How do your baseline pics compare to your current situation?

Cheers

2 years 6 months here give or take. I'm a diffused thinner with pretty much no recession (IE I dont fit on the Norwood scale). Took about 8 months for it to 'kick' in but after a little over 16 months I started to lose ground again. Had to add oral spironolactone to really turn things around.

Tohair,

did you go through any "sheds" that the people speak of here?

Do you lose hairs on a daily basis, even though your hair has improved?

How did you use it in 1994? Proscar?

Thanks,
Andy
