IDK, probably has something to do with it being "harmless". On top of that, everybody has at least one bald family member that's "fine" with it and jokes about it. So people think like "hey, my dad is bald, I like him, so it's all good". Also, the only ones that speak about balding openly are always those that speak about it in a positive sense. All of this probably helps paint a picture of it being okay to joke about even though everyone deep down knows it's not something positive.

It is so rude to laugh at someone, in general, no matter what health problems he/she has. If I heard such a joke, I wouldn't listen to this radio station. Having found this thread, I checked the sirius xm radio reviews here https://sirius-xm-radio.pissedconsumer.com/review.html (I often listen to it) and didn't find such complaints.
