Why Does My Crown Hair Grow In Weird?

I've always had a little bit of a dead zone near my crown as a kid. I would always get pointed out as having a bald spot when I got my haircut. At 25 now, the spot still refuses to grown in properly but its remained the same size. My guess is its due to an accident when I was younger that required stitches in the crown area...or it could mean its a spot that's thinning extremely slow.

(2 of the pictures are with my hair cut, other one is longer hair when wet)

Me and my brother have the exact same crown as you. Only difference is mine is actually thinning. Wouldn't worry about yours. Years ago I had someone say I was balding because of how my crown hair grew like that.

Yeah it's always been a mystery since everywhere else is thick. Heres one more picture of my hair now, shaved down to an inch, wet. Dermatologist said it looked fine too.
