I know finasteride works for hair loss, but after watching a ton of videos/reading articles I'm still not convinced that It works by ONLY reducing DHT, I think that it has some other function that the medical field has not figured out yet. Obviously I don't have any evidence.
-It's a fact that DHT is 3-5 times more potent than testosterone
-We all know that if testosterone levels in a male fall, the person will experience weakness, low energy/drive and just feel like crap in general.
-When a person is on finasteride/Dutasteride - they rarely experience any loss of strength / energy levels / drive, in fact some people report they can do more reps at the gym.
Slightly off topic
-As a male ages, test(test is needed to convert into DHT) falls at about a rate of 1% per year starting at 30 (depending on a few other things like diet, sleep etc), but the balding also progresses as you age which doesn't make complete sense to me. The only logical expiation I've heard was the miniaturization process is faster than the progression of testosterone drop rate as the person ages.
-DHT is responsible for hair growth on the body of a male during puberty, eventually the only place hair starts to fall out is the scalp and in the shape of a horseshoe, but hair on other parts of the body continue to grow. Back, on top of ears, behind tricepts (arms) etc. ???????????
